Versailles State Park has a 230-acre
lake ideal for fishing or for paddle boating, row-boating, and canoeing. The
drive to the park is relaxing as you have to drive through the beautiful rolling
hills of southeastern Indiana. The Versailles Pumpkin Show which takes place
at the park is a favorite activity amongst the citizens of Ripley. For those
who love to camp, Versailles State Park is equipped with 226 electric sites,
Youth Tent Camping Areas, Group Camps, a Camp Store, and Dumping Stations. Activities
and Facilities include Picnic areas with shelters, horseback riding, and Seasonal
Interpretive Naturalist Services. Boat Launch Ramp, Boat Motor Electric trolling,
Bridle Trails, Saddle Barn with escorted rides, Fishing, Hiking Trails, a pool
for Swimming, and a Waterslide. Canoes, Paddleboats, Rowboats, and a Recreation
Buildings are available for renting.
